Threat Intel Data Scientist | Cyber

As part of the Global Centralized Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence team, the Data Scientist reports to the Processing and Data Science Manager and is part of the Operations function.
In this role, you will design and develop AI-driven solutions to automate the processing, normalization, enrichment, and analysis of internal and external threat intelligence data. You will work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets, applying Data Science, Machine Learning, and Generative AI to improve cybersecurity intelligence products and analytical workflows used across Deloitte globally.
Candidates with backgrounds in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, Engineering, Research, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior cybersecurity experience is a plus but not required, as domain knowledge can be developed through collaboration and training.

Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and continuously improve AI and Machine Learning solutions to support cybersecurity analysts and intelligence-driven decision making.
- Transform, normalize, and enrich intelligence data from multiple internal and external sources into the Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) and related intelligence tools.
- Apply Data Science, AI, and Generative AI technologies (LLMs, RAG, semantic search, embeddings, prompt engineering, etc.) to automate and enhance threat intelligence products and analytical workflows.
- Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to identify patterns, relationships, anomalies, and emerging cyber threats through advanced analytics, correlation, and clustering techniques.
- Identify and integrate new intelligence data sources to enrich cyber threat analysis and improve analytical capabilities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs to support scalable and well-governed solutions.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, Data Engineering, or similar technical fields.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, including experience working with APIs and data processing pipelines.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying Machine Learning and AI solutions, with a solid understanding of statistical modeling and large-scale data analysis.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, semantic search, or related AI applications.
- Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets and communicating analytical insights through data visualization.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with modern data platforms and development practices (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, Vector Databases, Git, MLOps/LLMOps) is a plus.
- Exposure to cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or security analytics is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with professional proficiency in English.
