Senior - Data Analyst Team Lead
The role focuses on the data analysis, contextualization, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of metrics, analytics and forecasting reporting capabilities for the stakeholders. The aim of this role is to continuously improve EMEA Cyber processes, people, and technology by gaining actionable insights from all collected security and threat data.
What will your day-to-day be like?
- Support and assist Global Cybersecurity Metrics & Analytics Manager in the collection, measurement and analysis of key data related Cyber Security metrics, KPIs and KRIs and do reporting that is timely, accurate, consistent, complete, and relevant for providing comprehensive information for strategic Cyber Security management decisions.
- Mentor, manage and oversee the tasks of junior analysts within the team.
- Deliver Cyber Security metrics reporting weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and on an ad hoc basis as requested, in a concise and consistent manner after soliciting requirements from several stakeholders both internal and external to the business unit.
- Develop basic and advanced dashboards for front-end reporting capability for executive reporting that provides critical Cyber Security metrics, analytics, and forecasting for various stakeholders.
- Creating custom scripts using an advanced Python to meet out-of-box/adhoc requirements.
- Analyze existing workflows and identify ways to leverage data models to improve efficiencies utilizing data visualization and/or report writing with Python and visualization tools.
- Identify opportunities to automate and simplify data collection and reporting.
- Play key role in supporting the development of capability to provide various cyber security evidence that may be required for any cyber regulatory, compliance and audit assessments.
What do we expect from you?
- Bachelor´s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Business Analytics.
- Minimum of 3 years of information security related experience, in areas such as: Cybersecurity metrics, analytics, forecasting, and reporting, cybersecurity risk management or governance/PMO.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing searches in Splunk, using and writing SPL and extracting the results.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau [OR] minimum of 1 year of experience in creating custom apps, dashboards, and charts in Cybersecurity SIEM tools such as Splunk.
- Experience in Python , SQL database and applying data modeling to do data collection, data processing and generate analytics.
- Working knowledge and understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) OR key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Preferred skills:
- Professional Cybersecurity certification like CompTIA Security+ or ISACA’s CSX is a plus.
- Familiarity with multiple standards and frameworks such as NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), ISO/IEC 27004, ISO 27001 and 27002, CIS Security Metrics or Kill chain methodology and MITRE ATT&CK Framework etc. is a plus.
- Any certification on Splunk, Big Data, Machine Learning.
- Experience in manipulating data and performing numerical computations using Pandas and NumPy packages is a plus.
- Experience in ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
